Learning to handle the stress

I´ve not been a lot active in my social networks during the last weeks.  Even when i tried hard, strong headaches, weakness, lack of sleep (my body was slept but my mind kept running like a hamster in the cage during nights) and a blue mood didn´t let me to continue my normal routine and put me in some kind of art block mixed with a need of being retired and alone.

In a point, i could recognize some of this issues that i felt before, once when i suffered of burnout syndrome.

We are living a hard moment in my country and even when the art and music help me a lot to keep my mind busy, I'm not exempt of the same troubles that the majority of us have to handle in the day to day: lack of cash, troubles with transportation, worries about the food and a large list that is not necessary to mention.

So, i had to call myself to keep centered.  To feel anguished, worried and stressed is not going to resolve it and by the opposite, it could lead me to be sick and the troubles would be the double.

First thing i did was stopping to see news for a day.  No news, no Twitter.  Just funny memes in Facebook! I laughed hard every time i saw one very funny.

Second thing i did was meditate.  My head was so confused.  The internal dialogue was so intense and that i could not stay focused in anything.  I searched some guided meditations and did my best effort to follow it the first day.  At the end of that day i was feeling in better mood and the headaches stopped.

Next day, i did my vision board.  I put in a board photos of Japan, my favorite J-Rock bands i want to watch in a live, motivational phrases and things i want to accomplished and put it in my desk, so every time i  sit in my desk to begin to draw, i see them and i feel the happiness to have goals that i want to work for it.

I kept adding other things to my activities as listen positive and motivational podcasts and my favorite music to shift my energy when i begin to feel down.

This week i´ve felt in better mood!  My creativity returned, my passion and love for paint is burning inside of me again and i have a lot ideas i want to work on them!

I learned that if we do not take control of our emotions and the way we respond to external stimulus quickly, those are going to control and destroy us slowly.

I wish all of you that are feeling the same emotions i felt for the same reasons, could find the inner strength and guidance to control them.

New goal for my Patreon Page

Since i opened my Patreon page, i´ve had a lot of fun sharing with other artists, seeing their works, sharing with the people that support me, sharing my work, etc.

This have been a very nice experience for me because it helped me to be more open to show my work and exchange opinions with other artists.

But i´ve had always the urge to help other artists.  I love to teach others.  I want to share with them what I´ve learned during my years dedicated to illustrations and manga, what I´ve learned about social media on this time and even some leadership experience i´ve  accumulated from my daily job.

So, i will be sharing with my supporters on Patreon, some of my personal materials for doing manga as brushes, screentones, rulers, and i will be doing tutorials and manga lessons for them.

I want to help and encourage those artists with the desire to do their manga / comics stories and they can´t give the first step yet.

I want to give my little contribution to the art through other artists.

More people expressing their ideas, emotions and inner world through images is what can heal this world!!!

The callenge for "Angel Guardian" characters.

Speaking of characters with @michellegd99, came a theme song: Y.M.C.A, which became the challenge to draw: make the characters of "Angel Guardian" as the characters of the band looking sexy.😏

 Thus, Kyrsiel is the mason, Gersiel is the Indian Chief, Agramón is the policeman and Ronny is the gangster (who else could be but him!).😜 

The cowboy was missing. There is a character that still does not appear in the story that would have done the role very well ... maybe later I draw the cowboy alone.

 I tried that each character agreed on something with my characters so that they could look more real in their personification. And ... why a demon as a cop? Well, I'm sure he'll be happy to punish anyone who is not well! Hahahahaha😂😂😂

 It was supposed to be just a sketch, but I ended up trying out the marker brush and I loved it! I still have to practice more to take the trick because my tablet does not register very well the pressure for the low memory of my laptop but it is a matter of practicing more!

 I had so much fun with this challenge and I laughed a lot with the stories we were creating with them!

Hi everybody!!!

How are you been?

Well, after some days  sick and a very bad cold catched me, i´m recovered again to continue  working! And i did it timely because i got some great news i want to  share with all of you!
I am exploring a possibility to expand my  work as artist.  The news about this possibility made me feel so excited  and happy to do even more.  Just the idea makes me run in circles of  happiness and this requieres i travel.

That is when i felt  anguished when reality slapped my face!  Many of you should know the  very hard economical situation and troubles we are having here in my  country and the possibilities to save money for travel are very few for  not to say impossible.  I really was despaired since i wanted to try but  my head didn´t stop to think: How could i get the money?  I was falling  in depression since I felt with my hands tied and not seeing any way to do it.

And,  when i was thinking about it some nights ago on my bed, loosing the  hope to find a way and almost giving up of the idea, suddlenly i  though:  Hey!  What about if i work with my Patreon page as my crowfunding?

Inmediately, i got up and began to think how to gave it form to the idea until i finally decided to do it!
So officially, my Patreon campaign is open for it!!!!

Pledges since $1 are accepted and my supporters will have access to:

• Sketches for practice
• Advance of manga pages
• Patrons will get access to pages completed before to be published freely
• Can get option for illustrations (limited number of slots, sorry!  I need to stay focused on do manga for all readers!)
  Access to a Dragon Ball fancomic exclusive for Patreon supporters for their fun!
• All the supporters, no matter how much they pledge, will get access to the photos and information we will share of the trip.

I´m  not offering crazy rewards to my supporters, since i want to give them  what i can right now with responsibility and doing work with quality as i  always i´ve tried.  Depending on how things go with the campaign, i  could consider include other kind of rewards! ;)

There is hope yet to accept this new challenge and i´m going to work with all my strenght for it!!!

I´ve drawn him like chibi, but i never had the courage to try to do it...until now.  His jacket was a never ending task, but i had a lot of fun!!   Sometimes i think i should try to do that kind of laces with a Photoshop brush, but i had a lot of fun trying to interpretate them.

For those that not know him, he is ZIN, vocalist of the j-rock band Jupiter.

Indeed, the first illustration was the first one made with Manga Studio and Photoshop and the last one done mixing Manga Studio, Sai for backgrounds and Photoshop for lettering.

Meeting with the RING members / Reunión con miembros del RING

ESPAÑOL:

Hoy tuvimos una reunión los miembros de la Red de Ilustradores, mejor conocida como RING por sus siglas.  Fue interesante y emocionante ver tantos jóvenes dibujantes con tantas ideas y propuestas.  Se ve mucho interés y empeño de los líderes para que esta propuesta llegue lejos.  Depende de nosotros los artistas llevarla hasta allá.

Por cierto, me sorprendió gratamente encontrar compañeros que me identificaron rápidamente por mi nombre artístico XD  Y por supuesto recibí feedback, sobre todo en un punto importante:  las publicaciones las hago mayormente en inglés y no todos lo entienden V_V

Generalmente lo hago de esa forma porque dispongo de muy poco tiempo y la mayoría de mis seguidores dominan el inglès, pero es algo que no puedo pasar por alto, así que haré un esfuerzo y publicaré en ambos idiomas tanto como me sea posible ^^

También pude reencontrarme con viejas amistades y conversar un buen rato!  Realmente fue una muy buena experiencia.

La próxima semana tendremos reunión nuevamente, así que  estaré super contenta de tener con quien hablar sobre dibujo un buen rato! XD

Today we had a meeting the members of the Network of Illustrators, better known by its initials as RING. It was interesting and exciting to see so many young artists with many ideas and proposals. It looks much interest and commitment of the leaders to bring this initiative goes far.  Depend to us, the artists to bring this proposal there.

By the way, I was pleasantly surprised to find partners who quickly identified me by my nick name XD And of course I got feedback, especially on an important point: I do mostly publications in English and not everyone understand it V_V

I usually do it that way because I have very little time and most of my followers are fluent in English, but it's something I can not overlook, so I'll make an effort and publish in both languages ​​much as I can ^ ^

I was also able to reconnect with old friends and talk a a long! It really was a very good experience.

Next week there will be other meeting l again, so I'm very happy to have someone to talk about drawing a good time! XD

Where do i begin?/¿Por dónde empezar?

ENGLISH:

You have a wonderful idea!  You are ready to make your own manga/comic but... you don´t know where to begin with!

This is something that happens to more people that you can believe.  I´ve had the same problems many times at the begining.

I`ve received many messages of people asking me how they can do to begin with their manga/comics, so i will do short blog entries about the process i follow based on my own experience.

Hope this can be useful to clarify your questions and doubts.

Every artist works with the tools and process that makes him/her feels confortable, however there are some rules that you must to keep in mind at the moment of create your story.

Before to begin to draw the pages it is necessary you have you story defined, so the next blog entry will be focus on the elements of the story.

¡Tienes una idea maravillosa! Ya estás listo para hacer su propio manga / cómic pero ... ¡no sabes por dónde empezar!

Esto es algo que le ocurre a más gente de la que puedas creer. Yo misma he tenido este problema muchas veces al principio.

He recibido muchos mensajes de personas que me preguntan cómo pueden hacer para comenzar con su manga / comics, así que voy a hacer entradas cortas de blogs sobre el proceso que sigo basándome en mi propia experiencia.

Espero que esto puede ser útil para aclarar sus dudas y preguntas.

Cada artista trabaja con las herramientas y los procesos con los que el/ella se siente cómodo (a), sin embargo, hay algunas reglas que debes tener en cuenta a la hora de crear tu historia.

Antes de empezar a dibujar las páginas, es necesario que hayas definido tu historia, por lo que la entrada de blog que viene será centrada en los elementos de la historia.
